What’s Included in a Proper Clutch Job

We always install a complete clutch kit — new pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing and pilot bearing — never just the disc. On newer vehicles with an internal slave cylinder mounted inside the bell housing, we replace it while the transmission is out, because going back in for it later means doing the whole job twice. Most kits for those vehicles include the new slave cylinder in the box.

Why the Flywheel Matters

The flywheel is the surface your clutch disc rides on. Over years of heat it warps and cracks, and cracks left in place will eat up a brand new disc. That’s why we resurface the flywheel on every clutch job at minimum — and replace it if it’s cracked too deep. It’s not an upsell; it’s the difference between a clutch that lasts and one that comes back.
