What Our Automatic Rebuild Includes

Every rebuild gets all new soft parts — clutches, bands, bushings, washers, bearings, seals, gaskets and pistons — plus the known failure points for your unit, like solenoids that commonly fail. Hard parts such as the case, pump assembly and drums go through our parts wash, then get inspected and measured; anything out of spec is replaced. You always get a new torque converter, and we perform all the aftermarket updates that correct the factory’s weak points — so a properly maintained rebuild from us should outlast the original unit.

Why Newer Automatics Fail

The 6, 8 and 10 speeds coming through our door mostly fail the same way: torque converter shudder with the root cause in the valve body — the brain of the transmission. These pulse-width-modulated systems keep the valves constantly moving, which wears out the valve body bores, bleeds off pressure to the converter, and destroys the converter clutch. The debris then circulates through the shared fluid, sticking valves and burning up clutch packs. We fix the cause, not just the symptom, with updated valve bodies, sleeves and oversized valves.
